Teams comprise of 3 athletes from U7 to U17 to run in a relay in either
3 × 1 km
3 × 2 km
3 × 4 km

Teams can be made up of male only, female only or mixed gender as well as mixed age groups.
Athletes can run in more than one event, however they are not able to run in the same event more than once.

There are also individual races (1km, 2km or 4km) for those wishing to get some race practice in before the Australian Cross Country Championships.
